A Ship Tour of Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas
In October we went on a 5-night sailing aboard Royal Caribbean’s Brilliance of the Seas from Tampa, Florida. You know you want to watch us wander around the ship!
This was our second sailing on Royal Caribbean – in 2016 we sailed on Freedom of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. The Brilliance of the Seas is a smaller, older ship (it was introduced in 2002 but has received a few updates and refurbishments over the years). I will admit it wasn’t like I was dying to sail aboard her that made me book this particular cruise. I could have booked us aboard the much newer, bigger Oasis of the Seas, which I was excited about. If we went on that cruise, however, we would not be able to attend Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios due to time constraints. HHN had been on my bucket list for almost 2 decades so I didn’t want to nix that part of our trip. The cruise aboard Brilliance was shorter and fit into our schedule better. And we got a pretty good deal in my opinion.
This blog post will be the start of a few upcoming posts describing our cruise on Brilliance. While probably not our most favorite cruise, we enjoyed the ports and loved our ocean view room. I’m always into learning new things about traveling, and it was fun to experience the extremely efficient boarding process that Tampa has. (Seriously have never gotten on board a ship that quickly in Port Canaveral.) Overall our cruise was enjoyable, but not our most favorite vacation either.
Stay tuned for more posts from us aboard the Brilliance of the Seas!
