Our Stay at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
We recently spent three nights at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa at Walt Disney World. It was our first stay at this resort, and in a nutshell, we loved it!
Saratoga Springs is the closest Disney resort to Disney Springs. On one walking trip to visit Disney Springs a man came up to me to ask where we had walked from, he thought Saratoga Springs was an apartment complex. I told him I wished I lived at Saratoga Springs!
Saratoga Springs is huge, and we didn’t even get to see it all while we were there. Our room was in the Congress Park section, and we did pay the preferred rate to guarantee that we would be in a section near the main building or Disney Springs. We were also in the last building in that section, but even so it was maybe a 10-minute stroll to the Marketplace area of Disney Springs, which is where the Rainforest Cafe, Disney’s Days of Christmas, and Goofy’s Candy Co. (among others) is located.
This was our view of Disney Springs while walking from our room.
(Yes that is a car in the water. At the Boathouse restaurant you can book a ride on an Amphicar.)
But let’s backtrack and actually see the room now.
We stayed in a Deluxe Studio – Preferred room. Saratoga Springs is a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort, and a deluxe studio is the smallest of the rooms available. (You can also get a 1-bedroom villa, 2-bedroom villa, and the really awesome Treehouse Villa, which is basically your own house that can sleep up to 9 adults.)
We were in room 2732.
This room has one queen-sized bed and a double-sized sleeper sofa. We didn’t roll out the sofa bed, but I will admit it did feel a little lumpy just sitting on it. The bed was comfy, although Gary complained it was too small since we sleep on a king-sized bed at home.
Right beside the vacuum there is a pack-n-play.
Joffrey’s Coffee was included here, which Gary raved about (I don’t drink coffee). We were also happy to find a corkscrew since we left home without ours! (I do drink wine.)
The vanity area is directly across from the kitchenette, in between the actual bathroom and the closet. Only one sink here, but you do have a sink in the kitchenette.
The bathroom had a motion sensor fan, so when I was taking a bath it would turn off. I would wave my arm in the air for it to come back on. I don’t know about you, but I like a little white noise when I’m in the bathroom.
We did have the mini toiletries, but I would expect this to change to a dispenser on the wall sometime soon. Most of the other resorts already have the wall dispenser.
And this was the view from our balcony. It was a water view, but we couldn’t see or hear the boats go by, so it was extremely quiet. Such a welcome change from our week at Disney’s All Star Music resort!
Here is the list of amenities and extras you can pay for. We are not DVC members and we did get housekeeping services included.
This concludes our room tour, but I will have a lot more photos of the resort in an upcoming post.
To sum up, this deluxe studio room at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa was a lot like our room we had at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village last year. Which means it was awesome! This room size is perfect for a couple who just wants a little more room, or a couple with one or two small kids. We also had zero noise issues here. I really loved staying at Saratoga Springs. I only wish we had had more time to hang out at the resort!
